Styleundies On location: Prague
A small handful of creatives were recently shipped off to Prague for a Gourmet Meats and Cheeses Convention (sponsored by Kraft). Here are some of the digital photographs we're getting back from the crew:
Cold mixed with Damp isn't as good as it sounds.
Castles here kick ass over the ones at Disneyland.
Casting in Prague is often unique and scary. "Acting" apparenly not required. Discouraged.
Streets are known to be curvy. Navigate thru them carefully when jacked up on local cough medicine.
Why am i eating "Roasted pig knuckles and dumplings"? Do pigs even have knuckles?
Local cough medicine. Cures pretty much anything.

Winter in NY: balmy, balmy, balmy
Star magazine reported a Johnny Depp sighting, in full Edward Scissorhands makeup, trimming this hedge to look like a bench. Witnesses say he smelled of whiskey.
A bike messenger ran inside 950 6th Ave to deliver a package and Spring had hit by the time he returned.
Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor global warming.

The Dirty Underbelly of Blogging
I received this present in my inbox this morning. I thought I'd share it.
"I leave for a couple days and styleundies falls apart? No party pics??
You're the editor on duty my friend. Don't go dropping the ball."

New faces
If you see any of these people roaming the halls do not call security.
They are being paid to be here.
Justin. A copywriter, and a true gentelman
Peter. An ECD and probably one hell of a snuggler
Step up to the Mike. He is an Art Director.
Jeff. An intractive guru that can see thru walls and shit.
The mysterious Andy.
Ben. An ACD/CW has been here for a while but he picked up a new face over the break. This is his new face.
Caroline. Copywriter. As you can see Caroline is female.
John. An AD/CD. Which has nothing to do with AC/DC.

The Future is upon us
A few creatives from various local advertising establishments are dropping some beats on January 10th @ Lit Lounge @ 9:00pm.
The Future's music is best described as country-rock, punk-funk, gangster rap party eclectic rock music.
Simply put, it's a "fist pumping hook filled blend of thick riff rich guitar, ballistic bass that choke you, funky yet simplistic beats that make your chest fell like it's going to burst, and classic storytelling with a modern day twist." (http://myspace.com/nycthefuture)
How does George feel about The Future?
Well put George. Very well put.

Passerby hasn't quite passed on...another gaping hole in what was NY*
When the weather is this damn cold, we get to thinking about tiny spaces where we can warm ourselves to the heat of a dozen disco dancers — like Passerby, Gavin Brown’s diminutive bar/gallery that Gawker reported had “passed on” back in September. Turns out the bar won’t be closing till spring, after which the building will be torn down. There’s no closing date set yet, but the current exhibit will be running through March. And after that, who knows — Passerby rep Alex Zachary tells us, “I think we’ll do something else at some point,” but nothing definite is in the works. Somehow Maxim Prime won’t fill the hole this leaves in the neighborhood…
(from NY Mag and an anonymous friend of StyleUndies)
*This is up there with the closing of Siberia from its subterranean home under the 50th Street IRT subway stop, Broadway at 50th St, in the downtown side of the 1, 9 subway station back in 2002. SAD!!!!!! :(
